'Half-vampire, half human Cat Crawfield is out for undead blood, until she meets Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, who makes her question everything she thought she knew.'
I have to say this is one of the best UF books i have ever read. The storyline is amazing and the characters are flawless (especially, the male protagonist;Bones ~mmm...yummy). As you can see, i rated 10/10 for all the three books because they are just superb. They contains the right romantic elements, fighting scenes and relationships developed between the characters.
5 reasons to read Night Huntress series:
1.It's Sexy– Frost knows how to create chemistry between her characters. Everything from Cat's conversion from innocent hunter to well-trained seductress to Bones' continuous efforts to unsettle Cat and make her acknowledge their attraction is flaming hot and immensely fun to read.
2.The Protagonist– Cat is an incredibly interesting protagonist, much in the vain of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her mixed background makes her unique within the urban fantasy/paranormal romance genre as well as within the story itself. Cynical, obstinate, and sarcastic, Cat is an entertaining narrator and a pleasure to follow as she grows throughout the story.
3.Bones–Bones channels a bit of Spike from Buffy but brings the sexy, platinum blond, British vampire to a whole new level. Bones is devious, masterful, and exceedingly dangerous. He lives by his own moral code and changes the rules as he goes along. A perfect foil for Cat, he is an extraordinarily interesting character whose past, friendships and actions only make you want to know more about him.
4.The Action– Jeaniene Frost is a master at pacing, keeping you on the edge of your seat for the entire book. The action is upfront and the danger feels imminent. Frost delivers protagonists and villains alike that are strong, unpredictable and prone to force, creating a world in which loving a vampire isn't just foolish; it can cost you your life.
5.The World– The world of Halfway to the Grave is not limited to one town, community, or character. Events in the story often have far reaching consequences, involving long-standing allies and even longer feuds. Frost's vampire universe feels very large, allowing for epic story lines and stakes much higher than the simple life or death of the protagonists. Her world is richly populated with strong characters, involved conflicts and situations with no right answer. Combined with Frost's superb wit and lovable characters, Halfway to the Grave is an all-great read.
I highly recommend this for any Twilight and UF fans and they will leave you for wanting more.
